Sketch Challenge for Just Add Ink

This week at Just Add Ink, there is a sketch challenge and it was PERFECT for using some of those bits and pieces I've had on my desk waiting for some inspiration!!  You know how you try out some ideas and they don't work but you still want to use those embellishments that you spent so much time preparing?  Well, I have lots of them, and this card used up a few!!

I had this panel of Hardwood ready as a background, so it was super easy to make into the three piece panel,  And then the greeting on the front was also a piece waiting for a card to show it off!!  The greeting is from Seasonally Scattered, and it's lovely (and the fussy cutting was intense!!, but worth it I think).

I added some burlap and sequins to make it prettier (as you do!), and I love how this card looks all finished!! Thanks JAI for the inspiration!!  My colours are Baked Brown Sugar, Hello Honey, and Mossy Meadow.

  1. Detailed fussy cutting always does add something special Julia :) What a lovely mix of left over elements - it looks great! Thanks for joining us at Just add Ink this week.

  2. Julia, all your 'bits' make a gorgeous, rustic card. I love the addition of the sequins - such fun. Thanks for joining us at Just Add Ink this week!

  3. Your fussy cut sentiment certainly is the star here Julia, love the added sequins. Great use of all your 'bits'. Thanks for joining the sketch challenge fun at Just Add Ink this week.
