Season of Cheer in CASEING the CATTY this week!

Welcome along to our Blog Hop this week - CASEing the Catty in the Season of Cheer pages - starting from page 28 and going to page 34.
Welcome here if you have hopped on over from Kathryn's lovely project, and if you start here be sure you hop ALL the way around and see all the amazing ideas and inspiration from the whole design team!!

My card is CASEd from page 28 and it is the third card climbing up the stairs!
I've used the stamp set Reason for the Season (I don't have the Season of Cheer DSP), and adapted the card a little.

I used the leaf image from the stamp set to help create the background trees, and then when it was stamped I thought it was too bold for the background, so I've popped some vellum over the top to create a more subtle and soft image behind my focal point.  I have also used my aquabrush to lightly watercolour over the stamped images and 'fill them in' a little.

My greeting comes from Antique Tags - I've really enjoyed using this hostess stamp set!!

Now it's time to hop on over the see the wonderful project from Rebecca!

And if you get really lost, be sure to click onto the CASEing the CATTY blog graphic for the full list of all the design team members - you'll love all the great ideas and designs!!

  3. Oh, that vellum overlay makes the stamped background soft enough for the greeting to stand right out and still make the background be seen. I really love your take on the CASE this week. Beautiful.
