Stampin' Up! Star of Light 3D for CTC#95

Hello and Welcome back to our Sunday Night Blog Hop where we Copy and Share Everything and hopefully inspire you to choose our Catalogues for your creative inspiration.

This week, we are being inspired by our favourite 3D item in the Holiday Catalogue.

And I've gone for this lovely star from the Star of Light stamp set and coordinating framelits.

I've stamped this lovely image first, and then used the framelit to cut the shape around my stamping.

I think used our glorious gold glimmer paper to cut the very fine and detailed central star shape.

There are actually six sides to my ornament - 3 blank, and 3 with the glimmer paper stamped star duo.  The star is hung using the lovely gold bakers twine that comes in a fabulous triple pack of red, green and gold bakers twine - awesome for Christmas!

Now it's time for you to continue hopping all the way around the blog - either back to Krissy, or forwards to Deb - who both do amazing projects so you'll definitely want to hop!!

And when you've been totally inspired, be sure to jump in with our monthly challenge and you can use this link to get there.

And we'll see you again next Sunday night!!

  4. I'm not sure I understand your directions? Probably one of my off days. I'd really like to make to send to my kids. So, if you don't mind, send me the directions again? I know this more work for you and I am truly sorry to ask. Your ornament is so stunning I just want to share! My son is in the service, I want to make him one in red, white and blue!
Remember everyone, pray for lost and found souls of 9/11!

    1. Hi Gloria. Yes, my directions are not totally comprehensive!!! I stamped the largest detailed star image 3 times and cut them out using the corresponding framelit. I also cut out 3 more large stars with the framelit. I folded all 6 cut out stars in half, and then glued them all together the same way the trees are glued in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zeePSY0SQ-M I then added 3 detailed glimmer paper stars onto the stamped stars. The gold chord to hang the ornament is glued down the centre of the stars. I hope this helps!!
