Vintage Floral Love ColourINKspiration #29

Hello and Welcome to another amazing Colour INKspiration Challenge!!
Image may contain: one or more people, flower and wedding

Look at these glorious colours!!  They are:  Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Garden Green and Very Vanilla.  I just love this photo!!

Once again, I've grabbed my favourite (at the moment) new stamp set - Blossoming Basket and did some colouring.

I've been using the Stampin' Blends lots in the last few weeks, hence the thrill in using this stamp set all the time.  However, there is no Blushing Bride blends, so.........

I used our Stampin' Write Markers with the same basic philosophy of using the Blends.  I coloured the whole image in one layer of colour, and then added subsequent layers to create light and shadow with multiple layers of colour for the darker sections of the image.  This is where the stunning shimmery white cardstock just works so well as it stood up to the multiple layers of colour superbly!  The base of the basket is coloured in Crumb Cake light and dark Stampin' Blends.

Once, I had my baskets coloured - one with a handle and one without (did you notice?),  then I had to work out how to show them off on my card!!
Funny how sometimes I create with the cardbase or paper first, and other times, it's all about the central image!!

So, back I went to the photo, (did I tell you I just love that picture), and decided to go with the stunning vanilla dress imagery - pulled out my Petal Pair embossing folders and ran them through the Big Shot at the same time on my 10 x 14 piece of vanilla.

The Burlap Ribbon and Very Vanilla Lace Trim bisect the card over the join of the two folders.  I've used this ribbon detail and the Crumb Cake sponged Delicate White Doily to anchor my basket of flowers.  The greeting comes from Perennial Birthday (what a brilliantly useful stamp set!!)  My final touch was a bit of Linen Thread and Vanilla solid bakers twine to tie a bow around the basket.

Everyone knows I'm a HUGE fan of neutrals, so I've just loved this colour combination and the glorious vintage floral image.
I hope you do too!!

Next on the hop is the talented Tricia and her divine cake!!

And please use this link to head to our facebook challenge page and add your projects using these colours to our line up!!

Until Next Time
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia  X
