Illuminated Christmas in a Festive Farmhouse CTC#195

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop Caseing the Catty.

Our Challenge is all about seeing the Stampin' Up! catalogues with new eyes!!!  We endeavour to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit from the beautiful project illustrations.

This week we are focusing on the Festive Farmhouse chapter of the
 Holiday Catalogue - pages 12 - 17.

My inspiration comes from the lovely projects illustrated for the
Illuminated Christmas stamp set on page 15.

I've kept to the same layout and really only changed up the colours.  I've also added some background stamping from the lovely Night in Bethlehem stamp set.. There is also some totally sparkly glimmer paper too!  The sparkle glimmer paper is from page 192 in the Annual Catalogue and the Merry Merlot comes from the Joyous Noel Glimmer paper on page 29.

Sparkle Glimmer PaperJoyous Noel 6" x 6" Glimmer Paper

The sparkle glimmer paper is 12" x 12" and the Joyous Noel paper is 6" x 6" and includes 8 sheets each of Copper, Tranquil Tide and Merry Merlot.  Awesome!

I just loooooove this Christmas phrase and have often used it to write into Christmas cards over the years, so this was a definite addition to my purchases out of the new Holiday Catalogue

It's also really great to have another set that coordinates with the Graceful Glass suite that I already own.  This lovely silver frame comes from the Stained Glass thinlets that coordinate with the Painted Glass stamp set.  There are a couple of images in this Illuminated Christmas set that also coordinate with the Stained Glass thinlets!! - How cool is that!!  The Poinsettia and the angel both work with the rose and butterfly thinlits!  Stampin' Up! is so clever!!

Please join in the fun with us and add your projects to the lineup at our facebook challenge page - you don't need to have a blog - just upload your project photo to the page!  Easy peasy.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia  x

  2. well I didn't know that about the thinlits- that is really clever. Your card is lovely Julia, and I think the blue background is much better than the catalogue, and the Bethlehem stamps are perfect too. What a stunning card
