Time for A Masculine card CTC#264 Week 1

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our Stampin' Up! catalogues which are full of inspiration.

No photo description available.

This week, we are CASEING from the Mini Catalogue and adding a masculine twist!  What a great challenge!!

I was inspired by this lovely card on page 40 featuring the Timeless Tropical Suite - I thought this card was soo pretty, and would be a challenge to alter to be more masculine.

So, instead of flowers, I'm featuring the trees and leaves in the suite.  I've stamped onto the Old Olive vellum from the Perennial Essence Vellum stack and used the Saddlebrown Stazon Ink.

The layout really is quite similar although I've changed the orientation and the shape of the central panel by using the gorgeous Label Me Lovely Punch.

I've using simple stamping for the inside of the card and to decorate the envelope too.

Up next on our hop this week is the fabulous Michelle and her golfing card!!  Make sure you keep hopping so that you can get lots of great inspiration for those tricky cards for the males in our lives!!

We love it when you join in the fun with us too - and it's really easy to add your photo to the lineup on our facebook challenge page!!

  1. Love the colour combo and the way you have still used the same stamp set and dies to create a male version of this card.

  4. I love how you used the same stamp set etc but made it more masculine by the colours and images you used. Great job.

  5. Awesome card, Julia. I just love the trees stamped on the vellum - that's so clever and it looks fab! And I do love a matching envelope.
