Social Stamping with Kelly - Family theme

Hello and Welcome to our amazing Social Stamping Blog Hop hosted by the equally amazing Kelly Kent.  If you've just arrived from Nicole, then welcome, and make sure you keep hopping all the way around to see lots of amazingness to celebrate Family - the theme for this week.

You can see all the participants and their links if you click the graphic above.

So, what a perfect opportunity for me to scrap these wonderful photos of our family celebrating in January (just before everything became different!!)  3 of our 4 children live in Brisbane and go to University there (an hour away from us) and so when all 6 of us can get together it's cause for a CELEBRATION!!  We were also celebrating our 29th Wedding Anniversary together.

If you have a few children, you know that getting a photo with everyone looking great is sometimes like herding cats!! So I was pretty happy we ended up with a lovely family photo.

I've used the stunning flowery elements from Healing Hugs for my page with Real Red, Night of Navy and touches of Old Olive for the leaves.  I've also used the sparkly shimmery Embossing Paste and the Pattern Party masks to add some extra texture and interest around the flowers.

And all of this was totally inspired by my dress featuring roses in the same colours!  Using my photos as inspiration always makes some of the decisions easier to create scrapbook pages!!

I really hope you're inspired by my double spread!!

Up next on our amazing Family Social Stamping Blog Hop is the amazing Narelle.

And here's the list of the whole crew on our blog hop this week.

  6. What beautiful memories to scrap and that's an awesome family photo. At least by university age they stop picking their noses, like one of mine always seems to be... I love that you took your colour inspiration from your dress. It all ties perfectly together, the white and red is gorgeous. Love seeing a beautiful scrapbook layout like this.
