Clean and Simple CASE

This week CASEing the Catty, the challenge is the Kids chapter....   - this is my entry, and I know it looks nothing like a kids card BUT, on page 88 there is this cute little card with a rocking chair - this is the one I have CASED.  I don't have You Rock, so I used another stamp set and coloured it exactly the same at the card in the Catty.

I've used the markers (as the supplies list for this card stated that it used markers) and I used some of the blendabilities techniques that I have been practicing.  I like how this card has turned out!!

And I really love the little banner stapled at the top - what a great little embellishment!!

So, because this card is so clean and simple, I have also entered it into the SUO challenge for this week - clean and simple!! - I think it qualifies don't you?

One of a Kind Festival of Trees

This week at SUO challenges, the challenge is to be geometrical!!  So, I thought maybe my triangles would fit with this challenge.  You need to CLICK here to see the fantastic geometric designs from the design team at SUO - truly inspiring!!

I have used my NEW stamp set Festival of Trees (sneak peek from our Holiday Catalogue starting next week) and the coordinating punch for this clean and simple card.  For the background trees I've chopped off the trunks, and left the complete tree for my "one of a kind tree" .

I've also used the colours from the challenge at Just Add Ink this week (and check out their fabulous ideas too HERE) .  Basically I used these colours because then I didn't have to think about it too much!!!  The colours are

and they worked pretty well really!!  The next test for my card will be when I give this to my darling on Father's Day.

Festival of Trees (shhh sneak peek!)

I've made a few thank you cards recently - and this is one of the quick and easy designs I've made.  This is a sneak peek of a new stamp set from our upcoming Holiday Catalogue which starts on August 28th - be sure to contact me to get your copy of this lovely catalogue full of gorgeous Christmas, Thanksgiving and Halloween stamp sets.

This stamp set has a coordinating punch of the tree - how cool is that!!.  It has quite a few yummy Christmas Trees in the stamp set, but I wanted to use an ordinary tree for my Thank you cards.  I've added a bit of linen thread to the base too.  The greeting comes from another upcoming stamp set - more sneak peek!!

This card was made on the coordinating crumb cake note cards and envelopes which makes this a great quick and easy project!!

Label Flip Card

This is one of the cards we will be doing at my Big Shot class next Thursday night.  This card is a Flip Card which is kindof a cute card to make and receive!!

I've used the finishing touches edgelits on the left edge, and the delicate designs embossing folder on the right side.  The combination of these two textures certainly makes a very pretty card.

When the card is opened, the label flips over and there is room inside to write your greeting to the recipient.  Cool hey!!

Smoky Slate Thankful

This week at CASEing the catty, the challenge comes from the Baby chapter of the catalogue.  I am inspired by Nikki's work - so I've CASED her card and made it into a Thank you card.  I've kept to a monochrome colour scheme of Smoky Slate and Basic Gray.  This card comes from page 80 of the Catalogue, an apart from placing the central embellishment off centre, the layout is the same.

My bottom flag looks red in the photos - it is actually some silver foil - I think I've picked up the reflection of my red jumper when I photographed the card!! (tehehehe)  The greeting on the card is a little sneak peek of a stamp set coming soon!!

And more Chipboard

Chipboard is great on a scrap page!!  Here I've used it for my title - to give it some more OOMPH and BIG impact.

The rest of my page uses Flower Patch Stamp set, From My Heart, and I'm Thankful For (sneak peek from our Holiday Catalogue coming soon).

I would like to enter this page into the challenge this week at Just Add Ink - to Just Add chipboard. Be sure to click HERE to see some great ideas using chipboard. - from sponging, covering with paper and cardstock, and cutting with the Big Shot - like I have done.

Using Chipboard

Have you tried using chipboard?  It's the heavy duty cardboard packaging on some products, and it's a great resource for paper crafters!!  This week at Just Add Ink, the challenge is to add chipboard!! You need to click here and see the fantastic ideas the design team have come up with!!

I've used the chipboard with the Word Bubble framelits (I had to run it through the Big  Shot a few times for the chipboard to cut - not sure how good that was for the framelit - sigh) - but gee I loved how it turned out!!  I also used the burlap ribbon with one of the word bubble framelits too - that looks so cool!!  I put the burlap onto adhesive sheet first before I cut it with the framelit - so it would stay together once it was cut!!

This is a real Big Shot project - with the card itself being made with the Oval accents die in the Big Shot too!!

Hello There Hostess Stamp Set

This quick little card uses some of the lovely greetings from Hello There.  Again I have been using my Big Shot for the lovely embossed Delicate Designs.

This is an easel card, so the front panel stands up to display another greeting inside the card.

Vivid Vases

I'm still practicing using my Blendabilities - so here I've coloured the Vivid Vases and CASED this card from the catalogue on page 166.

The card looks so much brighter than the one in the catalogue!!!

Using my Big Shot

I've been using my Big Shot to try some new techniques and ideas.  Here I have embossed one of the front panels on a trifold card, and also used the finishing touches edgelit to cut the pretty eyelet edge on the other front panel.

The stamp set used is Six Sided Sampler with coordinates with the hexagon punch and the hexagon embossing folder.

There is this great promotion this month with the Big Shot  CLICK HERE to see the promotion, and to go to my online store for ordering

A Little Sumthin' Sumthin' Simply Created® Gift Box Alternate Project

Perfect Pennants CASE the catty

This card also comes from page 67 - I've adapted the box embellishments onto a design for the card.

All the stamping comes from the Perfect Pennants stamp set - the little dots and stripes come from this stamp set, along with the greeting.

Fun way to use paper!!
