Just Add Ink Colour Challenge

This week at JUST ADD INK, we have a colour challenge, and the colours are

I have CASED this design from a great resource offered to Demonstrators by Stampin' Up! - a bimonthly magazine full of hints and ideas.

The Stamp Set used is Kinda Eclectic - one of the new stamps from our new catalogue.

Paper Piecing for the Tardis

A friend of ours loves Dr Who - so of course, this is her birthday card.   I needed my children to give me a photo of the Tardis (cause I really wasn't sure what it looked like!!) and off I went, cutting bits and pieces of Pacific Point cardstock to create the famous Police Box.

I've stamped the starburst from Kinda Eclectic - one of the new stamps sets from the new Catalogue (be sure to contact me for your copy of the new Catalogue - it's packed full of great ideas and products!!!)

What do you think?  I'm kinda pleased with how it turned out!!!!

New Catalogue Inspiration

I was totally inspired by THIS CARD HERE ON JANINE'S BLOG - THE FANATICAL STAMPER WHICH YOU CAN SEE HERE and I have done it with a new stamp set from the new Catalogue called Something to Say.  I've used Hello Honey and Mossy Meadow for my colours - two of the new incolours.

I love the elegance and simplicity of this card.

My Digital Studio - more experimentation!

I've tried a few more techniques on this page - for an old photo that I found in the computer - it's great to get it out and enjoy the times we've had together!!

If you've been following me for the last week, you will have seen all my latest MDS projects that I've been madly doing before my self-imposed deadline!!

Here I've tried to create a more vintage page (which is a bit more my style that bright colours), and look at my family - WOW they've grown!!

My Digital Studio is FUN

I do really love scrapbooking and I REALLY love the texture and interest of lots of embellishments and layers,
BUT
this My Digital Studio is super FUN too - I love being able to crop my photos, select stamps to use, AND I can crop stamps TOO, choose different colours, and create the illusion of layers!!

If you would like a class on using MDS (once you have it downloaded on your computer or laptop), contact me and we can arrange some tutorials!

Scrapbooking with texture!

In the middle of all my Digital Scrapbooking I've done an old fashioned Scrapbook Page using some of the retired Designer Series Paper from the old catalogue - Etcetera.

I had fun cutting out the tags from the Designer Series Paper and then using them on my page for the date and title.

The flags came from the pennant punch and the DSP again.

Easy Peasy Digital

This page was SUPER easy on My Digital Studio - this is one of the templates in the program, and all I did was to put in a photo!!!  I also typed a little story about the photo under the word "memories" but that's it!!

How easy is that!!!!!

Celebrating Everyday

Scrapbooking is also a great way to show your gratitude for the everyday things your family does together.  When we don't see our family very often, we love looking at all the goods times we've spent together!!

Would you like to try it?

You too could be enjoying seeing some wonderful creativity while preserving some great times!

Celebrating the Memories

Scrapbooking is a fabulous way to read and remember the wonderful milestones of our lives.  I know my children just LOVE looking through the scrapbooks and remembering and chatting about the memories.

And Digital Scrapbooking is a really easy and portable way of journalling these memories.

Seashore Birthday

I have made this card for a friend to give to her cousin.  My brief was his age, and that he loved the beach and his home and work in the country, and he would be retiring soon.  I hope he likes the card, because I sure do!!  I love the colours and images, and I really enjoyed making this card.

I've used Dictionary, By the Tide, The Open Sea, By the Seashore, Hardwood, and the greeting comes from Label Love.

The colours I've chosen are Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar (a personal favourite colour) and Very Vanilla.

The inside of the card reflects the front, as does the envelope I made to go with it.  This card works for the awesome challenge at SUO Challenges - this week - It's Summertime
I am fortunate enough where I live in Queensland near the Eastern Seaboard, that really, this card would work all year round.

My Digital Studio

Nothing like a deadline to get me moving!!
I need to get a whole heap of Digital Scrapbooking done before we go on holidays in two days time!!!  So, in the next few posts, I will share with you some pages I've been doing in a mad rush!!
and
It's really quite quick and very easy to make some lovely pages!!  I've found it's a GREAT way to put lots of photos on a page - AND you can enlarge or shrink them however you like!!

Sit back and enjoy the next few days of MDS!!

Epic Day

I'm using up lots of Designer Series Paper before we have some new lovely paper to use - and this masculine card uses the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper.

The greeting comes from Oh Hello which is also retiring,

as is the Naturals buttons, and the daffodil delight stitched grosgrain ribbon.

Fun way to use paper!!

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn. Tonight I'm hopping with an awesome bunch of talented Australian crafters who love sharing...
