ANZAC scrapbooking

This was my entry into our local Country Show for the scrapbooking section - using an ANZAC theme to commemorate the 100 years ...... and I got a second place!  How cool is that!!

My poppies are punched from our Watermelon Wonder Cotton paper and the pansy punch.

and my background is the Brick Wall embossing folder inked and pressed onto the cardstock to give some interest and texture.

Sweet Treat Bags

One of my new adventures in stamping has been trying out the Sweet Treat Bag Thinlits and the coordinating stamp set You're So Sweet.
On this first bag, though, I've used Awesomely Artistic for my bag and for the insert.

This second bag uses the lovely You're So Sweet stamp set for the tag on the front and for the image on the insert.

As does my last example use You're So Sweet - I think I will really enjoy using this new set!!  It certainly makes a little gift look super gorgeous!!

The Open Sea Colour Challenge

The Paper Players have a colour challenge this week
The colours are:

And I have done some collage stamping with The Open Sea to make a great card for a guy with these lovely bright colours.

I watercoloured the sails of the ship to give it more presence on the card, and fussy cut the anchor for a bit of fun and texture.

Just Add Ink Colour Challenge

At Just Add Ink this week, there is a colour challenge - and I've used these lovely colours to CASE one of the gorgeous new cards illustrated in our new Catalogue - on page 32- be sure to check it out in your catalogue to see where my inspiration has come from!

JAI #266

You also need to check out the gorgeous projects a tJust Add Ink to get some more inspiration for these lovely colours!  My card features Awesomely Artistic, our new gold doilies, gold thread and the little white dots (bit hard to see in the photo - they are on the vellum)

Work of Art and Butterflies

And while I was looking at the TGIF challenges,  I saw this great monthly challenge -

So, I have used the Gold Foil as my background (and as an aside - this is mighty challenging to photograph as I really had to be careful I didn't get the reflection of me taking the photo!!  The large foil piece was acting as a mirror!!!)  I have stamped with Work of Art as my background and I've used the greeting from this stamp set too.  My ink is all Blushing Bride and I've used my oh so lovely butterfly thinlits for the main feature!!  I watercoloured in the wings of the butterflies too!!

Starry Sketch Challenge

This week TGIF has a #TGIFC07 Sketch Challenge and I've been inpsired to use my new stamp set and colours.  I've also used some of the new cotton paper for my central panel - I scrunched it up and then adhered it to my stamped stripey background - and I really love that you can see through the cotton paper slightly to see the background underneath it!!

Be sure to click on the sketch to see the awesome projects by the design team members!!

This week is the week for the Masculine Challenge!!

and then

and then finally at

So, my creation has a tag, and I'm trying some of my new toys!!

I really really love the new Brick Wall Embossing Folder - I've sponged it a bit on the edges to highlight the lovely textures, and then added some of the new corrugated cardboard in a panel over the top for some more awesome texture!!

I've used the Awesomely Artistic stamp set - and it is such a wonderfully versatile set!!

Birthday CASE

This week at CASEing the Catty we are looking at the gorgeous array of cards in the Birthday Chapter of the new Catalogue!!  So you will really enjoy our Blog Hop this week!! We have some gorgeous projects to share with you!!

After seeing the lovely work by from Emma - and isn't her little birthday cake so beautifully painted!, you are now on your way through our hop via my card - which I have CASED (Cope and Share Everything)  from page 5 - the title page of the Birthday Chapter.

I've used the Cherry on Top Paper Stack instead of the Oh So Divine dotted ribbon, and then added some corrugated card on one side, and the washi tape on the other. My stamping comes from Cottage Greetings, and I've hand fussy cut the cute little balloons on my greeting panel and then covered them with Crystal Effects so they have some dimension!

Stars and Stripes for SUO

Our fun challenge this week for SUO challenges is to use Stars and Stripes - so I've used the challenge as my inspiration to make a birthday card for my nephew who is turning 1.

I've used some of the lovely new envelope paper for my stripes underneath my star cutout, and I've also used the new colour Cucumber Crush which is lovely crisp, clean and cheerful!!

I've added some bling to my greeting with a little glimmer paper punched star, and some extra rhinestones scattered around, along with silver ribbon star tied on the side of my star

I like this card, and the star framelits make this card super quick to make!!

I'm sure you will find lots more exciting and inspiring projects when you go to our website and see all the lovely projects from the rest of the design team - Just Click here to go to the website and ENJOY

God Bless You bookmarks

Every year I make a set of these for my group when they make their Confirmation and First Eucharist.

The design is almost identical each year, but there are subtle variations depending on the stamps and supplies I have on hand!

This year, I've added some of the foliage image from Awesomely Artistic, as well as the starburst from Kinda Eclectic.

Sprinkles of Life - Again!

I'm still being inspired by the marvellous Sprinkles of Life Stamp set and the coordinating punch!!

These cards were inspired by the images in the catalogue on page 79 - I've used the delicious Cherry on Top Paper Stack for my backgrounds,

and then the Sprinkles of Life images and coordinating punched pieces too.

I'm all set for cards for almost any occasion now!

and these cards are a lovely quick design too!  The tags are all punched with the new triple banner punch which makes another quick embellishment option as well.
