Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - with Sympathy

Hello and Welcome to our Monthly blog hop!! Our group features creative souls from all over the world who want to inspire you!!   This month, the theme for our projects is Sympathy.

My favourite stamp set to use for Sympathy is the Peaceful Moments stamp set, and I usually pair it with Quiet Meadow as I love one of the sayings in that set that work perfectly.  This time, though, I've used the flowers and kept to words from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.

To create the lovely sponged shadow for both the front and inside the card, I punched a shape from Masking Paper using the Lasting Label punch. I then used a blending brush and Pale Papaya to sponge around the mask, lifted up the mask, and voila - white space for the stamping!!

The flowers have been coloured using Pale Papaya and Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends with a touch of Calypso Coral for the centres of the flowers.

I've also used Sahara Sand for the splatters of colour!!  I think this works well with the linen thread bow and the beautiful die cut Distressed Gold butterfly using the Meadow Dies.  The background of the card features some extra texture using the Brick and Mortar embossing folder.

UP next on our international hop is the fabulous Annette and I know you'll love her project.
