Beautiful Blues CASED to Perfectly Pear Greens CTC#529

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING a card from a kit!

I'm really hoping you can tell where my inspiration comes from!!  This was one of our cards at class last week and next week, and my class attendees thought it was a bit of a stretch!!  hahaha

I used the gorgeous blue card on the right for my inspiration.  The background die cut of the original led to my choice of the leafy background.  I tried to emulate the layout with the greeting over the top of the images and the general diagonal orientation, and I've used a monochromatic colour scheme - in greens!

These images come from the delightful Perfectly Pears bundle with the lovely Painterly Pears DSP.

I love the messy glorious effect of pulling apart the Mossy Meadow and Gold ribbon!!

Inside the card features some splodges - and I do love a fabulous splodge stamp for covering ink mistakes (wink wink!!)

Up next is the extraordinary Andrea

Make sure you keep hopping to see lots of great ideas!

Check out our Facebook group for lots more inspiration!

  1. A beautiful card Julia. I love the leafy stamped background and your gorgeous pears. The deconstructed ribbon is wonderful xxx
