World Cardmaking Day celebrations blog hop

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in a fabulous Blog Hop to Celebrate World Cardmaking Day TODAY!!

One of the projects we made today at our event featured this marvellous bundle - Cottage Wreath, and I have paired it with the Santa's Express Memories & More Cards and Envelopes.  I've made cards in 2 different colour ways to show off these great cards!

The first thing I did was to fold my Santa's Express cards into a Z fold featuring the gorgeous printed cardstock on the front and inside the card (normally the cards are totally white inside, but I've folded them inside out!!!)

I've used Mint Macaron, Garden Green and Sweet Sorbet inks along with Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade cardstocks.

The finishing touches for both of my cards is some Linen Thread and Iridescent Rhinestones.  These 2 cards will be part of the projects in our Retreat Day in October.  Mostly they feature simple stamping with a couple of die cut elements under the greeting!!

I hope you're really enjoying our blog hop tonight!!  Make sure you keep hopping to see everyone's amazing projects!!

UP next is the awesome Sharon!! Enjoy.

  2. Great design with the fold on the card, I missed having this wreath set when I created this afternoon and you are encouraging me to add this to my wish list. I really like the sentiment too. Thanks for joining the blog hop.
