New Goodies!!

This month at Stampin' Up! Only Challenges the challenge is to use our new products and so I had LOTS of fun creating this oh-so-pretty girlie card for my God Daughter for her 21st birthday gift.

I used some new stamps - Hearts a Flutter;  That's the Ticket; and Itty Bitties.

I used a new embossing folder - Honeycomb; and some new embellishments - Flower Trim;  Paper Doilies; Designer Builder Brads;  Two-Tone Ribbon; Lace from the Artisan Embellishments Kit  and a silver Basics Designer Button tied with linen thread.

And a special embellishment of silver number 21 for her very special birthday.  The colours I have used are Primrose Petals; Raspberry Ripple;  Whisper White;  and Crumb Cake.

Forever With You Scrapbooking

I just love the colours in this page!! I have used some Island Indigo, and Soft Suede and Early Espresso.  I must admit that my favourite DSP would be the First Edition paper which is the background of this page, so I am really pleased with how this page turned out!!

This little clusters of elements are fun too!!  I used the paper daisies which have been sponged with Island Indigo or Soft Suede, and then pearls put into the centre.  Lots of buttons help my page look fun too.

The background stamping comes from Papaya Collage, and Everything Eleanor.  For the frame around the photo I stamped the frame from Papaya Collage four times and then adhered them all to the back of the photo to create a larger frame.

There is also lots of sponging on this page too to help create the vintage shabby look.

As well as sponging, I have also sprayed the page with some ink and champagne mist and Isocol in our Stampin' sprtizer to help age the page and give it some texture and atmosphere.  I'd love to know what you think of this page too!!

Vintage Verses

Sale-a-bration starts soon and one of the gorgeous free stamp sets is this one -Vintage Verses.  Here I have created four cards in a set - all using one of the verses in the stamp set and all of the cards are created with the same colour palate and use the Comfort Cafe Designer Series Paper.

All card bases are Crumb Cake and they have been embossed with the Big Shot and the Delicate Designs Folders.

I have also used the Finishing Touches and the Adorning Accents Edgelits on each of the cards.

Other embellishments include the In Colour Dahlias and the Naturals Designer Buttons.

The Labels Framelits adorn the cards along with some Early Espresso Bakers Twine some Midnight Muse stitched satin ribbon and some Pool Party Seam Binding.

The colour palate is Crumb Cake Midnight Muse Summer Starfruit Early Espresso and Pool Party.

More Natural Composition DSP

This time the Natural Composition Paper is the woodgrain design - it's a bit hard to differentiate the edge of the page from my floor (which is where I take my photos!)

I have used some of my favourite stamps on this page - French Foliage and Postage Due - along with some great punches - the postage stamp punch and the ticket duo punch.  All the leaves I have fussy cut out, and the title has been created with the Big Shot alphabet Typeset Alphabet.

Rolled Flowers Scrapbooking

After the Stampin' Up! heartfelt event in Brisbane in November, I was totally inspired by Shannean Moncreiff and click here to see her blog as she demonstrated how to make her distinctive roses.  So, with the aim of creating beautiful roses, I did this lovely page for my girls.

Another wonderful idea of Shannean's was to use the lovely glimmer paper for the leaves - doesn't it look lovely!!

The stamp set used is Creative Elements - a great go-to stamp set for backgrounds and effect - here I have combined it with Affection Collection - (sorry the photo is sideways.... didn't realise that when I uploaded!!)

Everything Eleanor

Another layered page - this time with First Edition behind the Cherry Cobbler paper then mounted onto some Soft Suede.

The embellishments include a flower from Everything Eleanor, a punched heart from First Edition, a scallop flower from Be of Good Cheer DSP and a button from the Naturals Designer buttons, or the burnished bronze buttons from the holiday seasonal catalogue or the little button brad from vintage trinkets.  A bit if crochet trim ribbon, and some cherry cobbler seam binding complete the page.

Fan Fair

I really like the Fan Fair DSP we have in our annual catalogue - and this lovely soft pink with lace printed on it, and the piece with the script are just lovely.

The embellishment cluster consists of some twisted ribbon roses made with the white organza ribbon, and some punched scallop flowers using the Fan Fair DSP with Antique brad centres.

Stamps used are Hello, Doily, Layered Labels  and Crosses of Hope.

Creative Elements

On this page I have used the Cherry Cobbler Core-dinations card stock and I have tried to add texture to the page on each side of the photo.  I used the Delicate Designs folder over the edge of the page, and then I used the brayer to firmly rub back and forth over the design (trying to emulate the pressure of going through the Big Shot - but not quite succeeding!) which I then sanded using our sanding system - so I could highlight the design of the folder - the resulting effect is not as good as going through the Big Shot but the subtle effect is still quite nice.  

I have used the lovely striped ribbon from our holiday catalogue (which ends at the end of the month) and also made some First Edition scrunched flowers.

I have stamped the image from Creative Elements and then highlighted the image with some dazzling details.

Natural composition specialty & Floral District

This fantastic natural composition specialty paper has some wonderful designs ranging from music notes, woodgrain, repeat patterns, and this lovely floral design.  I have sponged some Lucky Limeade over the top in order to highlight the design a little more, and also to create a soft background for my rainforest photos.

I have coordinated the Floral District DSP to go with this page and used Affection Collection stamp set which has some lovely whimsical stamps that work really well for scrapbooking.  

Our gorgeous Flourish Designer Frames work really well as a frame for my number title here - I have stamped another of the images from Affection Collection underneath to add some colour and interest.

Final little touches for the page are the use of the Antique brad and a library clip (now retired from stampin' up!)

Marina Mist Surf

 A couple of fun techniques for this page - I have done some random scoring on the top left of my page here using the Simple Scored Scoring Tools and then sponges over the top with some Soft Suede and also sprayed with some champagne mist mixed with Isocol in our Stampin Sptitzer.

The doily die cut came from some waxed paper I was using with some cardstock to help the cardstock not stick to the die after cutting.  This image was so fine and fragile and beautiful looking I just had to use it!!  I also love the use of our gorgeous glimmer paper for the title - this paper is so fun and easy to use.

Elements of Style

This lovely page is a CASE from Delys Cram - click here to see her blog and I just love the elegance and simplicity of the design.  I have changed the page a little in that I have used Established Elegance for the title banner at the top of the photo.

The other embellishments include some watercolouring of the floral image from Elements of Style with some crochet trim ribbon anchored with an antique brad,

and the use of some Fan Fair DSP underneath the edges which are rolled back and anchored with one of the cute little button brads from vintage trinkets.

Storytime

This great scrapbooking paper Storytime is so easy and fun to put a page together quickly and easily - I found this page so fun and quick to do!!  I used some of the images from the paper mounted onto some riding hood red cardstock for my title....

Only a small amount of stamping using Lovely Little labels and the coordinating Little labels punches for the date and a couple of little embellishments.

The printed DSP does most of the decorating on this page - with the gorgeous little children running across the bottom of the page.  "Cherish the Moments" stamp comes from Baby Prints.

Core-dinations Scrapping

This great core-dinations 12" x 12" paper is great for giving a masculine feel to a scrapbook page.  I have sanded the edge of the page to reveal the inner core and give a frame edge to the page.  I have also used the core-dinations paper with the woodgrain embossing folder, and then sanded the textures to reveal the inner core for some more interest.  I mounted this centre panel on some tulle ribbon and some crumbcake torn paper.

I have also used the crumbcake with the lattice Big Shot die for some interest behind the title.

I love this little collection of Little Labels used with their coordinating punches. The little splash of red comes from our sweater trim - giving colour and texture.

I love these brushed bronzed buttons - here with a little key charm tied on with linen thread.

I fixed the side pieces of cherry cobbler sweater trim onto the sides of the page with some of the gorgeous button brads from vintage trinkets.  This is a great page for a guy.
