Brand NEW Scrapbooking Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to our fabulous monthly blog hop with Scrapbooking Global.  If you have just arrived from the amazing Libby, then you are very welcome.

This is a group of scrappers world wide who love to use Stampin' Up! products for their pages.

The theme this time was presented by the seriously talented Sharon Dalton, and it is Brand New which is just PERFECT right now because we have a new Stampin' Up! catalogue with lots of Brand New products and ideas!!

My starting point actually came from our Brand New Catalogue - and it was this project on page 154 of the catalogue featuring the gorgeous Flowers for Every Season Memories and More card pack.

Annual Catalogue 2020-2021 page 154  all images © Stampin' Up! ®

The Flowers for Every Season suite is full of the perfect colours to work with my daughter's shirt which are the photos I've used for my page.

Those who know me will be BLOWN away with how much PINK and BRIGHT colours there are on this page!  This is a BRAND NEW thing for me!!  I'm very definitely all about the cool blues, greens and neutrals and I always find it difficult to work with bright colours and especially the bright pinks!!  This is why I've really loved the inspiration for the layout with these colours from the catalogue.

Another BRAND NEW element to my page is the splattering technique!!  I looked up the Stampin' Up! list of supplies for every project and the extra hints and tips for this page included the colours that are splattered on it!  As my new Incolour Inks haven't arrived yet, I've improvised with the colours I already have and I figured with the splattering it wouldn't be too obvious that they are not precisely the same!

The little extra stickers and embellishments in the Memories and More pack really made it easy to add extra details and bits and pieces to the page.

And a ready made title is perfect with the awesome words in the pack too!!

All of those floral clusters were heat embossed with gold, and that is another BRAND NEW part of my page - a new technique for the background effect with lots of extra detail!!  Usually the backgrounds of my pages are quite plain and simple!!

Make sure you keep hopping around the whole blog to see lots of amazingness with everybody using the theme of Brand New.  Up next is the lovely Cheryl.  Enjoy.

Here is the list of everyone on the blog hop in case you get lost on the way!!

Scrapbooking Challenge using a page map

Hello and Welcome to my fun page I've entered into the challenge with the Facebook Scrapbooking Global Group.  This is a great group that uses Stampin' Up! products in our scrapping - which is totally my jam!!

The challenge this time was to use this page map to create a page.

I loved this map, and I really loved using my new Tasteful Touches Suite and the coordinating In Good Taste papers for my beach walk photos.

The colours on my page are Seaside Spray and the new Misty Moonlight which I think work wonderfully together.  I love this combination!!

The feathers were first stamped using the Seaside Spray, and then I sponged some Balmy Blue and Night of Navy ink on them to create the variegated colouring.  They have been fussy cut.

The title panel was embossed using the Old World Paper embossing folder after I had heat embossed the title with white embossing powder - double embossed!!

My final touches were the gorgeous Misty Moonlight bakers twine from the Flowers for Every Season ribbon combo pack and some of the gorgeous new Incolour enamel dots.

May/June Scraplift Stampin' Up! Scrap Inspiration

Hopefully I have inspired you to join in the fun with the Scrapbooking Global Facebook group - you can add your project using this page map onto the challenge page too!!  I find joining in the challenges REALLY helps me to get lots of scrapping done that I keep putting off until another time!!

Annual Catalogue 2020-2021 page 48 all images © Stampin' Up! ®

Finally I focused on these beauties on page 48 of the catalogue.  I've used the colours, layout and techniques as my starting point for creating.  These cards all feature in my class next week where we will explore colouring using Blends, Watercolour Pencils and Inks

This card is coloured using Stampin' Blends and features Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Soft Suede for the stamping. It is a reverse easel card.

This fun gatefold card features colouring with Watercolour Pencils and uses Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Bumblebee cardstock

And my final card is coloured using a Water Painter and inks on Shimmery White cardstock.

All of the cards are using the Jar of Flowers stamp set combined with the Many Mates stamp set for all of the greetings.  I hope you can see where the inspiration comes from, and that you'll get creative using the flowers of our catalogue as your starting point!!

Up next on our fabulous hop is the amazing Peta and her flowery inspiration.

When you have finished the hop, get creating for your flowery contribution to our challenge on our Facebook challenge page here!!

Travel on the Social Stamping Blog Hop

Hello and Welcome to our weekly Social Stamping Blog Hop!!  This brilliant idea came from the amazing Kelly Kent and has allowed a bunch of us to share our creativity with each other and with you!

This week, the theme is Travel.  If you get lost on the hop, just click on the image above to see the list of everyone in the hop to continue on your way!!  If you've arrived from the wonderful Lisa, then welcome!!   Keep hopping around to see some wonderful creations!

These are some cards featuring fancy folds and the stunning World of Good paper, that are for my cardmaking class coming up!  This suite is just perfect for a travel theme - maybe there will be lots of projects using these products to inspire you on the hop?

This amazing fold is the Bay Window Fold inspired by the amazing Lou and I have used it to feature the stunning designs on the paper, as well as the awesome brass foil globe.  There's a piece of vellum behind the earth to make it stand out from the paper a bit more.

The second card is a large z-fold card with the world map paper featuring as the star of the card!! There's also a little piece of crumb cake that has been embossed with the Old World Paper embossing folder - I love this effect!!

And the last Mossy Meadow card is a split panel card which helps show off the paper too.

I love these really cool masculine cards - and my husband's birthday is very soon so you can see why I was inspired to use these wonderful colours, stamps and papers!!

Up next on our hop is the amazing Elizabeth who is so very artistic!!

If you get lost along the way, or you want to see all the blog post list, head to the host post for Social Stamping here.
