Paper Crafting Monthly Blog Hop - thinking of you

This month the theme is Thinking of You!  My card is inspired by the amazing Tracy who creates brilliant cards with amazing fun folds.

This is called an double envelopefold and is a lovely way to show off gorgeous papers and textures with the middle panel peeking through!  

The card has a belly band to keep it intact.  The greeting comes from the lovely Blooming Phrases stamp set and the papers come from the Kintsugi Suite.

Thoughtful Journey Returning Favourite CTC#533

Tonight you get to enjoy our amazing CASEING the CATTY blog hop.  To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (catty!)

This week, we are CASEING our returning favourites!!  And there are SOOO MANY!!  I have been wanting to get into the gorgeous Thoughtful Journey paper and this card is for a class featuring the Eclipse Technique.

To create this type of card you need 2 pieces of exactly the same size pieces of paper.

One of the sheets is then chopping into 1cm strips - it's important to keep them in order when you're chopping them up!!  

And then you add dimensional foam tape to every second strip and line it up with the bottom image to create the fabulous 3D effect.

I've used some the spare strips for the inside of the card - waste not want not!

The final touches are some Brushed Brass Butterflies.  The greeting comes from the Simply Said stamp set which is ALSO one of our Returning Faves.

Thankful Garden Eclipse for Colour INKspiration #193

Hello and Welcome to Handmade by Julia Quinn.

Tonight I'm joining in with the Colour INKspiration crew and our awesome colour combination!!

The colours this week are so soft and pretty and I can't wait to see all the projects that everyone makes!

I'm preparing for a techinque class in the next week or so, and this is one of the cards for the class.  The eclipse focuses onto a central part of the main image.  

I've coloured using Stampin' Blends in all of the colours using the Thankful Garden stamp set.  

As the card is quite simple, I've added interest using my trimmer and scoring around the edges of the panel.  And I've added some lovely line Cloud Cover ribbon and some Two Tone gems.  

Inside the card has more simple stamping in Highland Heather.

This week, we are CASEING the critters in the catalogue!!  

2025 - 2026 Annual Catalogue Stampin' Up! © page 95

I thought it was time I played with the interesting stamp set Along These Lines pictured on page 95.  The stamp set includes a puppy, tiger and the dolphins - which is what I've used!  I was inspired by the card on the left with the white space at the top - although I substituted my white space for Cloud Cover!

I also wanted to play with tearing paper and using the two tone papers gives you twice as many variations of colour with the dark and light sides of the paper.  

I've used Azure Afternoon, Blueberry Bushel, Misty Moonlight and Night of Navy.  I heat embossed with white onto the two darkest pieces.  

I did have a dilemma about weather to tone the colours from light to dark down the card or the opposite - in the end I went with the dark at the top and I do think it looks right!  The greeting comes from the Blooming Phrases online stamp set and I think the long lines on this set work really well with the line art images I've used.  The bottom of my card features some Riverside Pearls.  

Inside the card I've added some more torn pieces of paper along with the smaller dolphins stamped.
